“And you’re just the wolf to give it to him,” I teased.
“Damn right.” Monroe snapped his fingers and sashayed off to wherever Adrian was.
I looked at Olian. “My dick is still dry, why is that? I gave you a command.”
Olian smirked. “Apologies, my King.” He then dropped to his knees between my legs. His fingers wasted no time undoing my pants and freeing my hard, drooling cock.
“Ahhhh fuck,” I moaned as he engulfed me. His lips locked tightly around my shaft as he drew back, leaving a trail of saliva along my thickly-veined shaft. The saliva of a dragon only made it all the more intense and pleasurable as it seeped through my flesh. My eyes rolled up in my head as I gave myself over to the ecstasy of one fine-ass blowjob.
“It’s good to be the King,” Olian said before slipping his dragon tongue down my slit.
“Ahhhhh god!” Yes… yes it was.
CHAPTER TWO
Dominic
My stomach was growling still as if I hadn’t eaten enough, but just the thought of killing another human made me want to puke. Wei Xian was darting glances at me through the rearview mirror like he was half expecting me to leap from the back of the car at him at any moment. Couldn’t say the thought hadn’t crossed my mind. Maybe I could bite and kill him, then take my leave of all this bullshit, but that was just a fantasy. I knew the moment I’d killed that poor human, my life was changed forever. Dante would never let me go, and if what they said about vampires was true, he’d always know where to find me.
God, I hated Dante for what he’d done to me. He could try to pretend he did this out of love, but I couldn’t tell. He had made me a killer like him. He wanted me to take pleasure in killing like he did. He left me no choice. I wish I’d never met him. How could he have done this to me? I didn’t even recognize him back there, he had been so cruel. The Dante I knew would never have tortured me. Never had forced me to do something I didn’t want to do. Was this who he had been turned in to, or was this who he really was all this time? Did becoming some vampire/dragon/wolf hybrid just release his inhibitions?
“I can hear your stomach growling all the way up here,” Wei Xian said.
“So?”
“So… you need to feed.”
“I’m fine.”
“No, you’re not. We still need to get you some clothes. I’ve contacted a store that I love to shop at. My Alpha has an account there, so we’ll be charging your clothes to that account. But before we get there, you need a human to quench that hunger of yours.”
“I said I was fine. Drop it,” I snapped.
“Your father gave me direct instructions to not only protect you, but to train you… and to keep you in line.”
“From my understanding, you’re supposed to be subservient to me.”
“To a point, but not when it contradicts what’s best for you. Until you’ve completely accepted and acclimated to your new life, Omari and I will be guiding you,” he said.
I huffed and turned to look out of the window. Dante had really thought of everything, hadn’t he, the son of a bitch. As much as I hated the idea of feeding from humans, every inch of my body was begging for blood. That one person wasn’t nearly enough to sate this new monstrous hunger I had. And on top of that, after feeding, I was horny as hell. I remembered being so needy, I couldn’t see or think straight. That had thrown me for a loop and then some. When I was human, sex had never mattered to me. I didn’t get aroused, and only would engage when I could get something out of it. Mainly food or money. But now, everything had changed. I knew I needed sex like I needed blood. I needed cum, I sought the source for it like it was natural to me. Even at this moment, a part of me wanted to suck Wei Xian’s cock and relish the nectar as it flowed from his balls, through his shaft, out of his slit, and into my thirsty mouth. I wanted it so badly, and then I didn’t.
This was what Dante had done to me. Flipped my entire life upside down, and for what? I felt the rage boiling inside of me, heating me up like a furnace, and I slammed my hand against the glass window, shattering it. Most of the thick shards of glass fell outside the car, but some sprinkled down on the inside.
“Hey, do you mind, sir? Those glass windows are very expensive. They’re bulletproof, but not angry-sulking-for-no-fucking-reason-super vampire/wolf hybrid proof,” Wei Xian said. “You’re stronger than you could ever imagine now and I’d appreciate it if you didn’t break anything else of mine.”
“Fuck your window and your car,” I lashed out as I brushed some of the glass off my thighs and car seat onto the floor. The last thing I gave a shit about was his fucking car. Not when my entire world had been rocked from its foundation.
“You’re lucky Omari is in the trunk, or that’s where you’d be. Now, please refrain from damaging the car further… sir,” he said, adding emphases on the last word as if he wanted to call me something else.
“Or what?” I challenged.
“Or I might just decide to stuff your ass back there with Omari anyway.”
“Do you really think he’d be safe back there with me?”
“If you hurt him, that’s on you. Your Father gave me permission to punish you, so I’d make you pay for hurting or killing one of your own without just cause. Trust me, I’m very skilled at torture, and you don’t want me to show you just how good I am,” he warned. “So, you decide… backseat or trunk with Omari?”
It was true, because of the rising sun, Omari had to retreat to the trunk to stay protected from the rays. I had imagined his death as well while fantasizing about taking Wei Xian out. After he was dead, I would have ripped off the trunk lid, exposing Omari to the sun, and watched him sizzle and burst into flames. But I didn’t need Wei Xian to tell me that he’d punish me if I tried anything. I didn’t want to know what kind of pain he’d put me through, but truthfully, it was Dante whom I feared more. After what Dante did to me with that silver dagger, I wasn’t too enthusiastic to learn what he’d do to me if I killed these two.
“Just shut up and drive,” I grumbled. Why was he running his mouth any-fucking-way? I didn’t feel like talking or being talked to, for that matter.
“You should be grateful that you can still go out in the sun when other vampires can’t. You’re more powerful then the majority of vampires and werewolves and yet you complain,” Wei Xian continued, completely ignoring the fact that I didn’t feel like hearing anything he had to say.
“I didn’t want this life,” I simply said.
“You were going to get death, death by torture, and for what? To prove that you can rebel? See, your Father has already figured out the folly of that mindset. What you see in him as callous is just consciousness. He’s aware that he was once a fool to think humans had a chance of retaking this world. They can’t… they never could. Even when we hid in the shadows, we were rulers of our lands. Especially after wolves took their freedom from vampires and dragons. It’s been centuries, and we are still a free race. Do you think we’d give up our freedom to humans?”
“Why can’t we co-exist?”
Wei Xian laughed. “We are co-existing. Humans are still alive and breeding. They have their homes, jobs, pleasures, and entertainments. They can travel… at their own risk, but for the most part, they are given safe passage as long as they don’t travel to hostile lands. If any humans in our territories wanted to go to Greece, Japan, or India, they can, without incident. All of King Ara’s lands. Our alliance with Théoden has widened our own prospects. Times are changing, and it’s time you accepted that you’ve been given a gift. Our Alpha turned you because he loves you and didn’t want to see you die for nothing.”
“You honestly believe that?”
“You don’t? You honestly think Dante did this to you to punish you? Can you really say that you were ready to die a horrible, long, and painful death for the human race? You know most humans don’t even care about rebel cells. They continue to live their lives under our guidance and protection. Did you know that since we’ve taken
over the world, there are no more global human wars? No more global famine, no more diseases, no more poverty?”
“What about places like the Outskirts or even Orion?”
He laughed. “That is because those human choose…choose to live that life and we gave them that option. You think the humans living in our wolf territories are worried about those fools in the Outskirts? They don’t have to worry about dying from a painful sickness or hunger. And for those who live in Orion, sure, it’s risky, but not as risky as living in the Outskirts. For the most part, as long as they don’t step out of line, they’re safe.”
“What about the people you do kill?”
“Criminals who break the laws in our territories. Also, people from the Outskirts who don’t apply to the laws. Like I’ve said, they are up for grabs.” He laughed then and looked at me through the rearview mirror. “Are they who you fight for?”
“What about the innocent humans?”
“Wolves and vampires aren’t allowed to kill citizens. Only when they break the laws do they forfeit their rights and privileges. Seems to me that you don’t fully understand what you were raging against in your rebel days… which, I will reiterate, are behind you. Remember that,” Wei Xian stated.
I didn’t need his ass to tell me what was in my past. I knew I could never return to my old crew. For one thing, most of them, if not all, were dead. The thought of their deaths pained me, but I couldn’t have done anything to save them. At least it was quick from what I had been told. For another, even if I did find some who had managed to survive that attack, Dante would surely punish me. Gone were the days when we were equal. There was a distinct difference in our relationship now. I was his subservient. That much was engrained in me when he put that silver dagger to my tongue, the son of a bitch.
Still, I had to press Wei Xian since he was being so damned talkative. “That man I killed tonight? Was he a citizen?” I inquired.
“A rat from the Outskirts who was hiding in our lands. He’s of no concern. Humans from our territory have all been marked with the tattoo of our Alpha, therefore, they are under his protection.”
“What about the rumors that you’ve turned a lot of them into vampires?”
Wei Xian shrugged. “Again, they are alive and well, having been given powerful gifts and an elevation in status. I don’t see a problem. Many will become wolves as well. Some will be chosen off the registration list and others will be taken, but again… I see that as a good thing. They will be made immortal and will have to fear nothing ever again. What’s the downside of that?”
“Killing,” I pointed out.
“People kill all of the time for all sorts of reasons, both animals and other humans. Why are you making such a big deal out of it now? Just because you didn’t kill the cow doesn’t make you any better than the farmer who did so you could enjoy that hamburger. Get off your high horse. Besides, it’s in your nature, even when you were human. Only difference is you’re at the top of the food chain. Get used to that,” Wei Xian said, his tone matter of fact.
My stomach groaned once again, and I placed my hand over it as if that would silence it. I don’t know… it did seem to give me some comfort. “So, this human I’m to feed on… do I have to kill them too?”
“Not this one. We’re going to one of our feeding stables and you’re going to pick out four humans. They will become yours to feed on when you don’t want or need to kill. They will live at your home when it’s done being renovated for you to be at your beck and call. You’re free to fuck or feed from them.”
“What if I want to set them free? The slaves?”
Wei Xian cocked an eyebrow. “‘Set them free? People who broke the law or refused to live freely in our paradise? What would you be setting them free from? Protection, pleasure, and a roof over their heads, food in their bellies? You’re going to put them back on the streets to be killed because they won’t have your protection anymore,” he said.
“What if I can give them the tattoo and they can become citizens?” I asked.
Wei Xian chuckled and shook his head. “They’ve already been branded as outcasts. Granted, that brand could be cut off and they could be given another chance if they earned it. But you’d need the Alpha or General’s permission. As it stands now, I doubt your Father will grant it to you.”
I knew he was right. Dante would see my asking for their freedom as me rejecting my new nature and he’d be right in that assumption. I wasn’t fully ready to have slaves, to use them for this monstrous hunger and lust. Had I been anyone else’s friend, I could have been in their predicament or dead. Wei Xian did say they would belong to me, which meant their lives didn’t have to be horrible. I’d make sure they were well taken care of… that would be the least I could do. Something else he had said sprung back into my mind.
“About the house, you said one was being renovated for me? I can’t afford it.”
He nodded. “It will be a gift. Your Father has been quite busy trying to get things in order for you. For now, you’ll be staying with him. It’s my understanding that newborns such as yourself need to be with your sire so your bond can grow stronger. Once your Father is comfortable and you’re ready to take your post as both Lord and Beta Capo, then you’ll move into your new home.”
“He’s not my Father,” I snapped. I couldn’t think of Dante as my Father. I’d had a real father once, twice, and both had loved me. Both were slaughtered by vampires and werewolves, the very thing I’d become.
“For vampires, he is your sire. From what I know of them… they take their parental responsibilities seriously. You were reborn of his blood. A part of him will forever be a part of you. Even now, you must feel that connection. Trying to deny it won’t matter, it’s there. And he’s also your Alpha, I know for a fact you feel that connection. Being a hybrid, you’ll have important duties.”
“I’m supposed to work for vampires and werewolves, carrying out your wishes?” I shook my head in disgust. I hated that I would be someone who had to deal with these monsters on any level.
“You’ve been given very high positions most have to work their asses off for. You got it just because you’re the son of our Alpha and vampire General. A direct descendant of Prince Théoden and King Ara. I’d shut up with the bitching if I were you.”
“Again, I never asked for any of this.”
“And yet, it’s been given to you. Consider yourself fortunate, sir.” Again, he added emphasis on the word sir.
“Why do you call me ‘sir’ when it seems like you want to call me something else?” I asked.
“Because I do want to call you something else and have to refrain because you are my superior… whether you’re appreciative of that position or not. I will honor it and the privilege given to me to protect and train you, Sir.”
This time when Wei Xian said the word, there was respect behind it.
“We’re here. You can pick out four humans. Feed from them, and when you’re done, I’ll have them sent to our Alpha’s home. Then we’re going to get you some new threads.”
I looked at the building we were driving up to. A huge, brown, ten-story structure with bars over the windows. It was obviously a prison ten years ago before the Exposure, and was still a prison of sorts now. Barbed wire lined the top of the chain-link fences and was threaded through all the holes, ensuring pain for anyone who was daring enough to climb and hop it if they were lucky enough to break free of the building itself. I would be freeing four prisoners today, which was the way I decided to look at it. Nothing good could ever happen in a place like this.
We had to pass through security and, once the guard was satisfied, we drove to the next gate that opened for us. I could sense that some of the guards were human, but some were also wolves. I bet vampires would be working here, too. They fed on humans more than any other supernatural did, fucking parasites.
“Why was Dante in the woods anyway?” I asked, changing the subject to keep my mind off hating myself at the moment a
nd what I’d become.
“We may be at war with other packs. So far, I haven’t heard anything, so who knows what the hell is going on?”
“War, with who?” This was my first time hearing about it. At least, to my knowledge. I had been out of it and focused on other things lately.
“Apparently, the other packs didn’t like the fact that our Alpha merged with the vampires. Letting vamps into wolf territory is against the rules of the treaty. They don’t fully understand the circumstances, or maybe they have some inkling, but it doesn’t matter to them. What Josef did is unforgiveable to them and that’s why they are on the attack. At least, that’s what we were told. Won’t know what going on completely until I speak to one of the BCs or our Alphas.”
“You keep calling them ‘our Alphas’. What makes you think I’m a wolf?”
He shook his head. “Now, you’re just being stupid for the sake of being stubborn. I know you smell the wolf in you. I know you sense and smell our connection I’ve told you about, because I can smell and sense it in you. You’re a wolf too, Sir, and I’m willing to bet you’ll turn on a full moon. The scent of wolf is that powerful in you.”
I was silent because he was right. I was hoping I wouldn’t turn, like maybe there was just enough wolf in me that made me smell like their pack, made me desire flesh. But I could sense I was full wolf, and I feared the pain of my inevitable transformation.
“Well?” he asked me as he looked at me through the mirror.
“You’re right,” I said, finally.
“Yes, you are one of us as well. You will change and hunt with the pack. It will hurt like a son of a bitch, especially your first time, but nothing can be done about that. So, don’t bother stressing over it,” Wei Xian said, then he parked the car and killed the engine. He turned to look at me. “Time to feed.”
I got out of the car, the heat from the sun’s rays shining down on me gave me some level of comfort. I didn’t feel the chill in the air like I would have if I were still human, but I knew I’d feel more comfortable had I’d been fully clothed.
