You Will Bow Down Read online

“Can I get something to wear?” I asked.

“You should be proud to walk around naked. Wolves don’t have any shame in our bodies. Besides, you’re quite the looker,” Wei Xian said with a wink after checking out my cock.

“I would just feel better if I had something to wear.”

“Like I told you, Sir, you need to feed. Satisfying your hunger is our priority. Then once we leave this place, we’ll get you the best clothes in town, worthy of a Lord and Beta Capo,” he said, gesturing for me to follow him.

I knew I had no choice, so I tried not to think about my dick swinging in the wind and everyone’s eyes on me. As we walked through the halls, passing vampire, human, and werewolf guards along the way, Wei Xian was introducing me as their newest Lord and BC. As a result, there were a lot of inquisitive looks followed by head bows of respect. Some even said, “My Lord” or “Sir” as I passed them by. It was true that I wasn’t used to this level of subservience. Even though I had taken over the reins of the group after Dante left, no one had to bow or call me sir. We were just one big family looking out for one another.

God, speaking of them, my heart ached at the knowledge that so many had been slaughtered by Théoden and his vampire son goons. I couldn’t honestly say they had a better fate than what was offered to Delilah, David, and Zach. I knew they wouldn’t want to die. They wouldn’t want to be eaten alive or tortured to death. I couldn’t make that decision for them, and the only option I could see was to bring them into this fucked up world of vampires and werewolves. I hoped they could forgive me.

“We’re here,” Wei Xian said, bringing me out of my deep thoughts.

I followed him through the barred doors into a room that was nothing but a long hallway lined with cells. “What do I do?” I asked, feeling nervous.

Wei Xian chuckled. “Look through the cells, pick out four or five people. Pick one to feed from right now and they will all be delivered to your temporary home today. If I were you, I’d pick some humans who were easy on the eyes.”

“Well, you’re not me,” I said. I’d like to think I wasn’t some vain bastard. Why should people who others think to be beautiful only be the lucky ones to be freed of this place? No, I was going to base my decision off of… off of… shit, what? I didn’t really know who was a good person or some real criminal that actually deserved to be separated from humanity. I looked at Wei Xian.

  “What, Sir?” he asked.

“How do I pick the ones who are truly innocent?” I asked.

“Well, vampires have that nifty mind reading shit you can do. I don’t know how, that’s something your Father or Omari can teach you. But for the time being, one of the vampire guards can assist you,” he said, then called one over. The guard approached with vampire speed, startling me enough to make me lose my footing. Wei Xian caught me before I could fall. I nodded to let him know I was steady, and he released me. I didn’t know if my face was red, but I felt embarrassment for my reaction. For all my time being a rebel, I really hadn’t come face-to-face with vampires. We pretty much hung out in werewolf territories and the Outskirts when we had to. Never New Haven.

“How may I help you, my Lord?” the guard asked.

God, this was going to take some getting used to, and the killer part was, I didn’t want to get used to it. That would mean I was accepting everything. But did I really have a choice? The conversation I had in the car with Wei Xian really took a lot of air out of my sails. I had no ground to revolt on. No way out.

I closed my eyes, because I needed to clear my head.

  “Sir?” he asked.

“Just give me a minute,” I snapped.

“Yes, Sir, of course,” was his calm reply.

Vampires bowing down before me, doing what I said without question. It was like I was in some sort of fucked up reality. As much as I wanted to hate this… I couldn’t deny it made me feel powerful. To know I could control so many other powerful beings, which I knew was the first step to corruption. Giving into this seduction of authority. I had to stay grounded. I refused to lose who I was in all of this. I opened my eyes and took a deep breath.

“I want to know which ones of these humans are truly innocent and just a victim of circumstance,” I said.

The vampire arched an eyebrow as if to mock me, but then immediately changed his expression to a more compliant one when he saw me frown. “Yes, Sir… please follow me.”

I did, and he led me to the fifth cell on the left and pointed to two people, both males. Neither man was easy on the eyes, but it was what was in their hearts that I was concerned about. “Tell me about them.”

The vampire guard licked his lips and began talking them up. Apparently, they were found in the Outskirts looking for food in the trash. They’d never killed, robbed, or hurt anyone in their lives. They grew up on the streets, like I had, after their families were killed.

“I’ll take them,” I said. “Okay, show me three more.”

Again, I followed behind the vampire as he apparently scanned the minds of every human being held in those cells. Along the way, I was able to pick out three more. Only one was striking, a young man about nineteen years old. The other two were females, average to pretty, but their lives had been destroyed when they refused to submit. Of course, now they had no choice but to submit. I hoped they would see that I was doing them a favor and appreciate this gift.

“Pick one to feed from now, Sir,” Wei Xian said, and it was as if my body had heard him because my stomach grumbled again with more demand.

I winced and gripped my abdomen. He was right, I needed to drink blood. I knew I didn’t want flesh or cum. It was blood that I craved. I motioned to the nineteen year old male. He was strong and would be able to handle my feeding, I was sure. The guard called over two more of his men and the three of them entered the cell, shoving the other humans out of the way and keeping them from fleeing as one dragged the human male out. They forced him to his knees in front of me and wrenched his head to the side, baring his neck.

My mouth began to water as I watched his vein pound beneath his flesh. I could hear his blood rushing, smell it just under the surface. It was all so heady, I swooned, and again, Wei Xian was there to catch me before I fell. But this time, he helped lower me to my knees before the human and I felt the gentle nudge on the back of my head, pushing me toward the vein that beckoned to me. Oh god! I wanted to sink my fangs into his neck so badly it was all I could think about. Feeding, sucking the blood and savoring its exquisite flavor. Why… why did it have to taste and feel so damned good?!

Once my lips touched his flesh, I couldn’t hold back. I didn’t even know if I tried to. My fangs descended and I sank them into that vein, past his salty, sweaty skin. He smelled foul otherwise, as he was in desperate need of a bath, but none of that mattered at the moment. My body throbbed with pleasure as I fed, better than anything I could have ever imagined. I was even more aware of the entire experience now than I was the first time I’d fed. I felt every ecstatic nuance, savored every swallow. I gripped the male by his arms and angled my head to get a better flow. Oh, sweet Jesus, yes. This was everything.

“His heart is starting to slow, Sir… you need to pull back,” I heard Wei Xian say, but I couldn’t let go of this divine feast.

That was when I felt strong fingers grip my jaw, forcing me to release my bite. I growled in rage that someone dared seek to deny me that pleasure. I leaped to my feet, slapped the hand from my face, and spun around to confront the moron who was stupid enough to pull that stunt. I tried to backhand him, but he blocked me, then reversed the move quickly. Before I knew it, he had me back on my knees with both hands gripped behind my back.

“I guess the blood was calling stronger to you this time than you were ready for. Do you want to kill this human, Sir? If you do, I will let you,” he said in my ear.

“I want more!” I roared. I couldn’t really process what he was asking me. I just knew I needed more blood.

  “Then
more you shall have.”

A few seconds later, another human was given to me. A female, one of the ones I’d chosen. Once I was released, I was on her, burying my fangs in her left breast and sucking for dear life. Her blood was delicious, but it lacked the robust flavor of the young male. Still, it was heaven in liquid form, and I was once again lost in the pleasure of feeding.

“You’ll kill her if you take any more,” I heard Wei Xian warn.

Kill her, a voice said to me, and something inside of me wanted to. That predatory part I couldn’t deny. But it was the portion of me that I was still clinging to, the part with a conscience, which forced me to pull back and scoot away. I licked the blood that had dribbled onto my lips, but I knew I had some dripping down my chin. I was a bloody mess from my feedings and all I wanted to do was shower.

Wei Xian checked on the humans I’d fed on and smiled. “Not bad, Sir. I thought I was going to have to pry you off of her as well. Your need was powerful, but you pulled it together. Showed great control and even managed to pull yourself out of the bloodhaze. Your Father will be happy to hear that.”

“Are they okay?” I asked. I almost didn’t want to look at them, but they were both laid out on the floor, eyes closed.

Wei Xian laughed. “More than okay, Sir. Your bite gave them some major fucking orgasms. The boy spurted his nut all over you, but you didn’t notice.” With that, he pointed at my stomach.

I looked down to see cum smeared all over my abs. Of course, I was also sporting an erection, a needy one. I felt another lust rise in me. One that wanted to taste the cum on my stomach. Absently, I scooped some up with my finger and brought it to my lips. The smell was intoxicating and again, my mouth watered. I closed my eyes and sucked my finger between my lips and felt something inside of me ignite like I’d been struck by lightning in the best way. Energy flowed through me, making my cock even harder.

When I opened my eyes, I pulled my finger from my mouth. “This is really happening,” I panted.

Wei Xian nodded. “And you love it.” He turned from me to address the guards. “Send these five to our Alpha’s home. They are to be cleaned and clothed before arriving, do you understand?”

“Yes, Sir,” one of the wolf guards said.

“Good.” Wei Xian then turned back to me and gestured to my throbbing cock jutting up from between my legs. “We need to take care of that erection, Sir.”

I didn’t bother trying to hide it, what would be the point? I was still reeling from all the blood and cum. My body felt like it was floating, and I was all warm and gooey inside. And horny… Very fucking horny. “It’ll go away,” I said.

“I’m under very pleasant and strict orders to never ignore your desires, Sir,” Wei Xian said, then he lowered himself to his knees.

I knew exactly what he planned to do. I started to feel my heart beating frantically in my chest. This new life of mine was taking me for a whirlwind and I felt like I barely had any time to adjust to anything. I was never one to want to publicly have sex. Even when I did it out of necessity, I had always picked some dark alley away from nosy onlookers. But the way things were now, I’d already had sex with Dante in front of people who cheered when we came. I wasn’t used to any of that. I put my hand up, stopping Wei Xian from getting closer.

  “Not here,” I said.

“I’m to take care of your desires whenever they arise, Sir,” he said, then knocked my hand out of the way. Before I could protest further, he dived down, taking my cock into his mouth.

“Ah,” I gasped because the sensation was amazing. It was as if my body was finally getting the relief it needed, and his skill was superb. “Jesus Christ!” Oh god, I was so damn close. My dick was hard as granite as Wei Xian’s tongue lapped and teased areas on my cock that felt new sensitivity. My nipples ached to be touched and was another sensation I’d never experienced before. As if he’d read my mind, I felt Wei Xian’s hands caress my body and his fingers found my nipples and began massaging them. I quaked with pleasure so intense, all I could do was lay there and take it. Oh fuck, this was really happening to me, all of it. I closed my eyes, wanting to just get lost in the ecstasy I was feeling. The tingling down my spine grew stronger, spreading throughout every muscle it seemed, until I knew I couldn’t hold back.

I screamed and quaked uncontrollably as my cock exploded in Wei Xian’s mouth. He was locked on my dick, swallowing and sucking every drop from me. I felt like a boiler, that was how hot my body was. I was drenched with sweat and only after I’d given him everything I had and he was no longer lapping at my soft cock did I start to cool down. I gasped for breath as I lay flat on my back, eyes still closed. My body twitched from the fading sensation, and from Wei Xian’s chuckle, I could tell he was pleased with his handywork.

“I must say, this is going to be one job I will enjoy doing,” he said. I could tell from the rustling of clothes that he was standing up. “It’s time to go, Sir.”

I finally opened my eyes, but I made sure to keep them on him. For good reason, I was too embarrassed to look around me at all the captive humans who’d been witness to the blowjob he’d given me. I took his offered hand and he helped me to my feet. I stumbled a little, not realizing how weak my knees were after having such a powerful orgasm.

Wei Xian steadied me. “You’re good now, Sir?”

I nodded once I knew I could stand on my own, so he let me go. “I just want to get out of this place.”

He smirked. “One day, you’ll love to come here. It’ll be like picking out the best lobster from the tank.”

“These are people. They have emotions, feelings.”

He shrugged. “So does a pig or cow or chicken. And still, they are food.” He sighed then. “Come, let’s get you some clothes.” He turned and walked off and that was my cue to follow, so I did. I was just happy to finally be leaving this place and getting something to wear. I was more than tired of walking around naked.

  CHAPTER THREE

  Deacon

I slit my wrist again for the fifth time and watched the blood flow from my open vein into the glass mug. It was a tradition and necessity that every pack Alpha did when he acquired new members. It was essential for the strengthening of the pack to share the Alpha’s essence with all members. I had to do it when I defeated the old Alpha, and I was doing it now as I increased the numbers of my pack by six hundred and sixty-nine wolves. Only nine decided to go rogue after all the dust settled. They would probably be dead within the week, or a slave to a vampire or dragon. That was the risk of wolves going rogue, even if they stayed in their group. No Alpha meant no protection, no community.

With the mug now full of my blood, I gave it to the lot that was gathered to each take a sip from it. By drinking my blood, they were proclaiming their loyalty with actions as well as words. One of the wolves took the mug, then looked at my blood inside it.

“As I drink of my Alpha, I pledge to him my life, my loyalty, and my body.” He said the words given to all Alphas during this ceremony. It was pleasing to my ears and eyes to see my pack grow substantially. More importantly, everything was falling into place and I couldn’t have asked for the last twenty-four hours to go any better. Hell, the last seventy-two hours had been sheer perfection. But the cherry on top was the look of disappointment on Théoden’s face when he realized I’d outsmarted him. I guessed it didn’t happen often, because as calculated as that bastard was, I saw it. Fleeting though it was, he was pissed off.

The wolf, whose name I would eventually learn like all the others, took his sip, then passed the mug on to the next wolf in line; a female who gave the oath and took her sip. On and on it happened until I had to refill the mug for the next batch. This had already been going on for the past hour. The sun was bright in the sky, birds were chirping, and I was the only Alpha in our land with two territories. Not bad to be the youngest of the Alphas, if I may say so myself. The only thing I hated doing was eating Selena’s heart. I didn’t tell Elijah that, because I didn’t wa
nt him to worry, but there was a chance I could have died from eating it. Because the dragon venom made it toxic, I had hoped the power of the ritual would protect me since I had to eat her heart if I wanted control of her wolves. I kept it down long enough for her essence to flow through me before I had to puke it up. Also, I did have a vial of dragon venom antidote I took, and that saved my life. Eating Samuel’s heart was a lot easier and tastier. Of course, Elliot knew the risk I had taken and kept quiet about it. My guy was always in my corner. I watched members of my pack getting acquainted with their new pack brothers and sisters. That was a good thing, because we might have to all fight as one if Laurent and Akio decide they want to their revenge on me for betraying Selena.

Of course, I was counting on Théoden and Josef joining forces. My betrayal did benefit them, after all. It was the least they could do. Besides, Théoden and I still had that nifty alliance and it was still intact even though he’d failed to snatch this territory from me. That knowledge put a smile on my face as I watched another twenty-eight wolves take the sip and give the oath.

“Enjoying being King?” Elliot asked me.

I looked at him over my shoulder. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I?”

“I’m happy for you and our pack. So, you’ll get no complaints from me. But I’m worried about what the other Alphas will do,” he said.

I nodded. “That’s why we’ll be the first line of defense and Elijah will be the second.”

“So, that’s why you wanted to leave him behind with half our pack?” he asked with a grin.

“I’m always thinking as many steps ahead as I can.” I slit my wrist again to fill the mug for the last time. Only fifteen more wolves were left to fulfill their pledge of alliance to me. I’d be lying if I didn’t acknowledge I was happy to end the ceremony. As much as I loved hearing the words spoken to me, I was getting tired of cutting myself and bleeding into the mug. We healed relatively quickly, but it still hurt like hell.
